Apply a moisturizer every morning to help your skin feel softer. The best way to use it is to apply it to wet skin and then pat your skin dry. Apply moisturizer to your neck and hands, not only to your face. Many moisturizers also contain sunscreen. Unfortunately, using a moisturizer can only temporarily improve the appearance of wrinkles and it won’t have a lasting effect.
Wear sunglasses that block out the majority of the sun’s UV rays. This will help you avoid “crow’s feet” and protect the sensitive skin around your eyes, where sunscreen cannot reach.
Don’t smoke. It’s simple - you can’t look good if you smoke. Smokers have less collagen and elastin in their skin than do non-smokers. Collagen and elastin are proteins that keep the skin soft and wrinkle free. Also, squinting from smoke irritation causes crow’s feet or wrinkles around the eyes.
Sleep on your back. Sleeping on your side or stomach causes sleep lines, that can turn into wrinkles, because when you press your face against the pillow the wrinkles are ironed onto your skin. If you train yourself to sleep on your back, you will have fewer face lines. Or, you can use a silk or satin pillowcase to reduce the pressure on your face.
